From: Mystic, CT
Releases on: Armada, Black Hole, Flashover Recordings
Why we like him: Since grabbing the attention of Ferry Corsten’s Flashover Recordings with his first single, “Rise & Shine,” 23-year-old Nate Rathbun has successfully held his own among the veterans. From trance to progressive house, he’s remixed the likes of Arty, Armin van Buuren, Tommie Sunshine and more; he’s even remixed the likes of pop giants Michael Jackson, Nick Jonas and Van Halen. Audien won the peak position on the US dance charts with his single “Insomnia.”

From: San Diego, CA
Releases on: Anjunabeats, Mondo Records, LW Recordings
Why we like him: Originally trained in classical and jazz, musician Jason Ross switched gears when he first heard ATB’s “9PM (Till I Come)” and Darude’s “Sandstorm.” Producing his first electronic album at age 12, he found inspiration in the emotional depth of trance. Now a force in the progressive trance realm, his track “Burma” earned an uncharacteristic three consecutive weeks of plays on Above & Beyond’s Group Therapyshow by popular demand. The trio promptly requested more new music from Ross for their Anjunabeats label.
