Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and β¦ The Day After? Not the most likely musical combination, yet all three have been tapped for the forthcoming PopStar Guitar video game, available for Wii and PlayStation 3 systems November 18.
βFrom what I understand, itβs based on the game Guitar Hero,β geared toward a younger gamer, TDA bassist KC Wells explains. βHow we got on it, I donβt know, especially a song called βCar Crash.β Iβm not sure exactly how thatβs going to go over with the kiddies.β No matter, because with acts such as Blink-182, Good Charlotte and Maroon 5 also in the game, the exposure can only help The Day After when its new album drops in early 2009.
βWeβre kind of interested to see if we can actually play our song on the game,β Wells says. βWe probably wonβt be able to do it, because itβs a different way of playing.β
No word at press time whether PopStar Guitar will allow for customized avatars of singer/guitarist Jenine Cali, drummer Daniel Kloza or Wells with his signature nail polish and eyeliner.
